About the Artist
As an artist, I love the game of staging a painting and seeing if I can use the minimum of brushwork for the maximum impact of my intention. I am thrilled when someone reacts to my work because of something I intentionally included, or sometimes because of something a viewer sees that I was not aware of. These moments of discovery shape my studio practice.
Through teaching basic through advanced classes, Iām able to honour the important role that the arts play in our community by involving other inspiring artists to explore their creativity through plein air events. In my teaching, I love the challenge of researching and teaching skills using observational practices and art historical references.
